7. Special symbols¶

Use of special symbols written between the characters ampersand "&" and semicolon ";".

This way of writing the symbols allows the characters less than "<" and greater than ">" to appear in the browser, which are otherwise interpreted as the start and end of the tag.

Other special characters such as Ñ can also be written using only standard ASCII text on keyboards that do not have these keys.
